Mintel Reports Declining Low/No/Reduced Sodium Claims

Consumers, and those who govern them, may say they are concerned about sodium; however, research conducted by Mintel has revealed that the no-/low-/reduced sodium claims on new food products being developed has declined 5% over the 2010-2011 period.

Mintel's research also shows 54% of consumers say they've limited their intake of packaged snacks and foods because they believe the products contain too much salt or sodium.
