Flagstone CEO's departure effects changes at acquirer.

Christopher Silva, who has been executive vice president of TreeHouse Foods and president of its Bay Valley Foods subsidiary, has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer of TreeHouse Foods, Oak Brook, Ill.

In addition to overseeing all operating companies within Bay Valley Foods, Silva’s new responsibilities include directing the joint go-to-market sales activities of both the Bay Valley Foods and Flagstone Foods organizations and building an organizational structure that will enable TreeHouse Foods to leverage the distinct sales organizations of the two businesses to realize the full potential of marketing the company’s portfolio across its customer base.

Flagstone, one of TreeHouse's biggest acquisitions, was bought last July, bringing the acquirer into the category of healthy snacks, especially fruit and nut snacks. Although it's heavily into private label, Flagstone also has some brands.

Paul Lapadat, president/CEO of Flagstone Foods, will leave the company. He's led Flagstone since its formation in 2010.

Dennis Riordan, executive vice president and CFO of TreeHouse, will maintain his current responsibilities while assuming the position of interim president of Flagstone Foods. Riordan has led the integration of Flagstone.
