Nutiva Names First External CEO

Founder John Roulac remains chairman as Pankaj Talwar steps in.

Nutiva, a Richmond, Calif., supplier of coconut, chia, hemp and red palm organic products, on July 25 appointed Pankaj Talwar as the company’s CEO. Founder and previous CEO John Roulac will continue as chairman of the board of directors and is assuming the newly created role of chief visionary officer (CVO).

Talwar most recently was part of the executive team in the turnaround of Goodman Fielder, a CPG company in Sydney with $2.3 billion in revenue across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia-Pacific region. He earlier worked with Bimbo Bakeries and Procter & Gamble.

Roulac, who has been the face of Nutiva, said, “I couldn’t be more thrilled to hand over the reins to Pankaj Talwar as Nutiva’s first external CEO.” The new role will also allow Roulac to become a mentor for "future generations of food innovators. He will continue his life-long work of championing environmental sustainability and innovations including regenerative agriculture and marine permaculture."

All Nutiva products are organic, vegan and Non-GMO Project Verified.
