Employee at Georgia Anheuser-Busch Plant Tests Positive for COVID-19

Reports indicate the Cartersville, Georgia plant will not close despite the diagnosis.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported on March 16 an employee at Anheuser-Busch's Cartersville, Georgia plant has tested positive for coronavirus. According to an Anheuser-Busch spokesperson, the beer plant has not closed operations after learning of the employee’s diagnosis of COVID-19.

“At Anheuser-Busch, the health and safety of our employees and our communities is our number one priority and we have implemented a number of precautionary measures across our company to address COVID-19,” the spokesperson said in the statement.

The statement went on to say that the company acted in accordance with guidance from local health authorities  and took immediate steps to isolate person and make sure they receive the medical attention and support they need.
