Report: Plant-Based Dairy and Egg Products Look to Crack $4 Billion in Sales in 2020

Sales of plant-based dairy and egg products are expected to reach $5.2 billion by 2024. That's according to Packaged Facts, which asserts that retail sales will rise at an average annual rate of 6.0% over the next four years. According to the market research firm, estimated sales in 2020 should top out around $4.3 for 2020, which is up from $3.9 billion from 2019. 

The findings are part of Packaged Facts' report Dairy & Egg Alternatives: Outlook for Plant-Based & Cell-Cultured Consumer Products.

According to the report, plant-based milk will accounts for the largest gain in sales through 2024, with 2020 estimated sales sitting at $2.4 billion. Holding the fastest gain title will be plant-based eggs, while plant-based cheese isn't expected to see sales spikes until the 2024-2029 forecast period.
