Lavazza Begins Construction on its First U.S. Roasting and Packing Plant

May 3, 2021
Lavazza North America has begun construction on its first roasting and packing plant in the United States.

The Lavazza Group recently announced its North American arm, Lavazza North America, has begun construction of its first roasting and packing plant in the United States. The new plant, which will serve the U.S. market, should be open October 2021.

Part of the Lavazza Professional facility in West Chester, PA, the plant will add 1,000 square feet to the 18,000 square foot facility. The additional 1,000 feet will allow the firm to produce roasted and ground coffee in the United States, a first for the Italian coffee company.

"North America continues to be a strategic growth market for Lavazza Group and opening this facility in the United States will sharpen our competitive edge," said Davide Riboni, President & CEO BU Americas for Lavazza. "We will more efficiently service our current customers and offer incentives to attract new ones."
