Upside Foods, the company formerly known as Memphis Meats, announced on October 25 it had appointed Robert Kiss, Ph.D., as Executive Vice President of Technical Operations. Prior to joining, Dr. Kiss served as Senior Vice President of Process and Analytical Development at Sutro Biopharma.
Kiss' addition comes just as the cultivated meat company prepares to open its first production facility. The new facility and innovation center will support the commercialization of the company's Upside Chicken product. Dr. Kiss joins fellow new addition to the team, Amy Chen, who was appointed Chief Operating Officer in June.
