Jack Link’s, which bills itself as the No. 1 U.S. maker of meat snacks, has announced plans to build a $450 million facility in Georgia.
The 120-acre site near Perry, about 100 miles south of Atlanta, will employ about 100 people once it’s completed at the end of next year. Jack Link’s executives announced their plans at a press conference at the site on April 26, with Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp in attendance.
In addition to the Georgia project, Jack Link’s is expanding its facilities in Alpena, S.D.; Minong, Wis.; and Underwood, Iowa.
“The Georgia facility is going to ensure that we continue to lead the protein snacking category with great innovation, and continue to grow with our customers, consumers and team members,” CEO Troy Link said in a statement at the press conference.
