Oatly AB, the world’s largest manufacturer of oat milk, has named two newcomers to its c-suite.
Effective June 1, the company’s global president will be Jean-Christophe Flatin, a veteran of more than 30 years with Mars Wrigley, who was most recently president of its global chocolate division. The new chief operating officer will be Daniel Ordonez, a veteran of Unilever and Danone who was most recently president of Danone Iberia.
Current COO Peter Bergh will be transitioned to the new role of chief strategy officer, reporting directly to CEO Toni Petersson.
“On behalf of our board and management team, I am pleased to welcome Jean-Christophe and Daniel, two accomplished industry leaders, to Oatly as we position ourselves for the next phase of global growth,” Petersson said in a statement.
The appointments come as Oatly faces significant challenges, including keeping production up with demand and dealing with a shortage of oats. The company lost $212 million last year.
