Renegade Foods to Triple Production Capability for Shelf-Stable, Vegan Charcuterie Product
Nearly four months after the launch of its shelf-stable, vegan charcuterie product announcement, Berkeley, Calif.-based Renegade Foods has announced it will triple its production capabilities and add more than 20 new customer accounts. Furthermore, Renegade Foods has announced the elimination of 80% of its packaging and a dramatic reduction in shipping costs for the product.
A release distributed by the company states Renegade Foods has seen more than 40% growth in its wholesale business since the launch of the shelf-stable product. Iona Campbell, CEO and co-founder of Renegade Foods said demand has risen and the upgraded production capabilities will help the company meet that future growth. The company’s new accounts are spread across the nation, from Napa, Calif., to West Chester, Pa., and Denton, Texas, among others.
The company was founded in 2019 by Campbell and Kalie Marder and sells smoked alternative proteins made from plant-based ingredients. According to the company, it uses wholesome organic ingredients and traditional meat preservation techniques to ensure the flavors and textures are created naturally and with minimal processing.
