Brian Sikes, who since 2019 has led Cargill's global protein and salt enterprise, was named chief operating officer of the huge global corporation. That title apparently has been vacant for some time.
Sikes joined Cargill in 1991 and has held leadership positions in the protein business in the U.S., Canada and Europe. He also led the company's Talent Center of Expertise and was responsible for advancing the company's commitment to inclusion and diversity.
He's been based with Cargill's North American animal protein business in Wichita, Kan. Sikes will also serve as a management director on the Cargill Board of Directors.
