The division of Perdue Farms that houses such brands as Niman Ranch and Coleman All Natural Meats, among others, has a new leader, as Jason Henshaw was named vice president and general manager of Perdue Specialty Meats, according to a release from the company.

Henshaw will oversee Niman and Coleman, as well as the Perdue Premium Meat Co. (PPMC) operations, the company said. He’ll lead the strategy, operations and growth of Perdue Specialty Meats, focused on brand stewardship, sales and marketing, supply chain, and production — wrapped tightly around the company’s overall values around sustainability, animal welfare and product quality.

Most recently, Henshaw founded and served as CEO of Zeal Creamery, a grass-fed milk and butter company in the U.S. According to the Perdue release, he “built a first-of-its-kind, just-in-time fresh milk value chain for the U.S. market, introduced award-winning ‘better-for-you’ products to national and regional grocery retailers, and established a nationwide distribution network.”

His background includes more than 20 years in CPG, agriculture, food, and supply-chain management leadership roles, across all sizes and types of company, from Origin Energy Limited to Windsor Management and Consulting and Australian grocery retailer Coles Supermarkets. He also spent eight years at Coca-Cola Amatil.
