Mullins (Prairie Farms Dairy) and Zagzebski (Great Lakes Cheese) Given Dairy Award

International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) gives Laureate Award at its annual Dairy Forum.

Ed Mullins, senior executive officer of Prairie Farms Dairy, and Dan Zagzebski, president/CEO of Great Lakes Cheese, were given the Laureate Award from the International Dairy Foods Assn. (IDFA).

The IDFA Laureate Award is given to a leader in the dairy industry who has made significant, prolonged contributions to the development and growth of dairy. Candidates from across the dairy industry as well as suppliers and academics are eligible. The presentation was made this week during the association’s annual Dairy Forum.

Mullins began his career with Prairie Farms in 1980 and rose to become the cooperative’s chief executive officer and executive vice president before stepping into his current role as senior executive officer earlier this year.

Zagzebski has been with Great Lakes Cheese for 15 years and has been president/CEO since 2015. He joined the company when Great Lakes Cheese purchased Lemke Cheese and Packaging in Wausau, Wis., where he was co-owner and CEO.
