Emma Aer Joins Franklin Foods as CEO

Former Finlandia Cheese CEO now heads cream cheese producer.

Franklin Foods, a maker of cream cheese, announced Emma Aer as its president/CEO. She leaves her job as president of Reima USA, where she launched the U.S. business of the European outdoor apparel brand for children.

Originally from Finland, Aer has lived and worked in six countries while gaining decades of international management experience in multiple industries, including consumer product goods and food & beverage, where she worked with brands such as Coca-Cola and Valio, a Finnish dairy company, becoming CEO of its American subsidiary Finlandia Cheese.

Founded in 1899, Franklin Foods claims to be the third largest cream cheese producer in the U.S. Headquartered in Boca Raton, Fla., it has production sites in Vermont and Arizona, distributing brands Hahn’s and Green Mountain Farms as well as private label and foodservice products. The company has been part of the privately owned German cheese maker Hochland Group since 2017.
