Darigold has named its chief information officer to the newly created position of chief transformation officer.
Richard Scheitler joined Dairygold, an agricultural cooperative based in Seattle, as CIO in 2019. In his new role, he will be responsible for helping Darigold expand its operations and technological capacities. Specifically, it is building a new production facility in eastern Washington state, and rebuilding a fire-damaged plant in Idaho.
Scheitler previously held positions at POM Wonderful/The Wonderful Company as well as KPMG Consulting.
“No business survives for more than 100 years without demonstrating the ability to adapt to changing environments and dynamics,” Darigold CEO Joe Coote said in a statement. “Richard is a proven leader with a track record of driving successful business transformation efforts.”
Darigold is 92nd on the Food Processing Top 100© list, with sales of $1.05 billion last year. The marketing and processing subsidiary of Northwest Dairy Association, it operates 11 plants in the northwest U.S.
