Dairy processor Saputo Inc. has appointed several leaders, effective immediately, in support of new president and CEO Carl Colizza, who assumed that role on Aug. 9, 2024, according to a release sent by the company.
The role of COO has been given to Frank Guido, who will oversee operations across North America, Europe and international, and is expected to drive growth and operational results. Guido brings 25 years in consumer-packaged goods, having held senior management positions in operation, supply chain, continuous improvement and finance for various public companies. Most recently, he was president and COO for Saputo’s Dairy Division (USA).
Meanwhile, Leanne Cutts will fill the newly created chief commercial officer (CCO) role for Saputo, with responsibility for driving commercial strategy, sales development in global markets and channels and overseeing marketing, brand management and market insights across all divisions. Cutts has been with Saputo since 2021, when she was appointed president and COO for International and Europe divisions. She has more than three decades experience in branding, marketing, product development and commercial activities for various global companies, including food and beverage.
Replacing Guido as the president and COO, Dairy Division (USA) for Saputo is Dominick Bombino, who has been with the company for more than 25 years, most recently serving as senior vice president, sales, for the Dairy Division (USA) group.
Steve Douglas will take the role of president and COO, Dairy Division (UK), having spent more than 30 years with the company and serving most recently as senior vice president, operations and supply chain, Dairy Division (USA). Tom Atherton, who currently holds this position, has announced he will leave Saputo to pursue other opportunities but will remain with the company through the end of the calendar year to support Douglas during the transition. Atherton joined Saputo in 2019 in the Dairy Crest Group plc acquisition.
