Private label and co-manufacturing dairy processor Ninth Avenue Foods will invest more than $200 million to build a new dairy processing plant in Longview, Texas, according to several local news outlets. The facility will be the company’s third in the country (joining City of Industry, Calif., and Columbus, Ind.), and it is expected to bring 150 new jobs to the region.

The facility will be an extended shelf-life (ESL) facility, which appears similar to the company’s current facility in California. Ninth Avenue Foods, a fourth-generation, family-owned and -operated dairy company, says on its web site that it can process numerous types of milks, creamers and half & half, both dairy and non-dairy varieties.

Steve Goldenstein, vice president of Ninth Avenue Foods, said in a statement quoted by the local news outlets that the new Longview facility will be “strategically located to serve our existing customers while supporting our continued growth and expansion into new product capabilities.”
