Local Bounti Corp. Promotes Current Exec to President & CFO

June 25, 2024
Current CFO Kathleen Valiasek, who has been with the indoor agriculture company for more than three years, will take on additional leadership responsibilities moving forward.

Local Bounti Corp., an indoor agriculture company that provides packaged lettuce, greens and other products to retail locations in the U.S., has promoted CFO Kathleen Valiasek to president and CFO, effective June 24.

Valiasek joined Local Bounti’s leadership team as chief financial officer more than three years ago after stints as CFO and chief business officer for Amyris, a company engaged in research, development and production of sustainable ingredients for the clean health and beauty, and flavors and fragrances markets. Prior to that, Valiasek had been CEO of Lenox Group Inc., a finance and strategic consulting firm she founded in 1994.

Valiasek will take on expanded oversight of Local Bouti’s operations, innovation, commercial and marketing activities in her new role — retaining her leadership duties over the financial portion of the organization. She will continue to report directly to CEO Craig Hurlbert.
