Sunkist Growers, Fruit Growers Supply Co. to Combine Under Sunkist Name

The two sister companies have worked together for more than a century and will reorganize and merge under a new, Sunkist Growers Inc.-named holding company.

Sunkist Growers Inc. and its sister company Fruit Growers Supply Co. will reorganize effective Nov. 1, 2025, under a holding company that will take the name Sunkist Growers Inc., according to a release announcing the change.

The move is expected to better position the two companies for customers, innovation and efficiency, as well as future citrus industry growth.

Sunkist is a citrus cooperative founded in 1893, while Fruit Growers was founded in 1907 as a sister supply company to Sunkist. The two companies adopted a shared management structure in 2017 and have increasingly aligned operations since then. Both companies’ boards have approved a new, five-year strategic plan to ensure clarity for the future of the combined companies.

The new holding company’s leadership group will comprise members of the leadership teams of both Sunkist and Fruit Growers.
