Once Again Nut Butter, manufacturer of organic and natural nut and seed butter products, has acquired Big Tree Organic Farms, an organic almond manufacturer in California, which is expected to help Once Again improve efficiencies and reduce environmental impacts by positioning it closer to the Central Valley almond crop.
Big Tree’s almond-dedicated production facility in Turlock, Calif., joins the Once Again operations network, which means the company will not need to ship almonds all the way to upstate New York, where Once Again’s operations are located. Once Again also gains Big Tree’s product portfolio of certified non-GMO and certified organic diced, sliced and slivered almonds, and almond flour. Once Again noted that all product and packaging specifications align with its current offerings.
“As we strive to be a one-stop shop for organic and natural, nut and seed products, the acquisition of Big Tree Organic Farms is big news for us,” said Bob Gelser, CEO of Once Again.
