Albertson's to assess fees for recalls

Grocery chain Albertsons in July started assessing a fee for recalls and the removal of products from store shelves. Suppliers will be charged $12,000 if up to half of Albertsons divisions are involved in the recall, reported The Tallahassee Democrat. That is one to four divisions. If more than half of the divisions are involved, the cost is $24,000.
