Tillamook Goes Deeper Into the Freezer Case

Three mac & cheese entrees and four stone-fired pizzas feature the cooperative’s award-winning cheeses.

Tillamook County Creamery Assn., a cooperative and Certified B Corp best known for its award-winning cheeses, especially cheddar, is venturing deeper into the freezer case and further away from dairy with macaroni & cheese entrees and pizzas.

The Mac & Cheese products bring together al dente jumbo noodles, creamy sauces, distinctive toppings and Tillamook cheeses. They come in Classic Cheddar, Sharp Cheddar & Uncured Bacon, and Cheddar & Hatch Chile. They just became available at select Target and Walmart locations.

Crispy Stone-Fired Pizza won’t be available till October. There are four options here: Cheesy Uncured Pepperoni, Three Cheese, Three Cheese Supreme (adding uncured pepperoni and Italian sausage plus peppers and onions) and Cheesy BBQ Chicken.

Tillamook was founded in 1909 as a farmer-owned cooperative in Tillamook, Ore., and recently became a Certified B Corporation, which requires social and environmental commitments. For years, all it sold was cheese, but it's recently launched ice cream, yogurt, sour cream and butter.
