Sunny Celebration Packs

Harvest Hill Beverage Co., one of the U.S.’s largest independent branded beverage producers, got patriotic with its iconic SunnyD brand. The company’s limited-edition USA Celebration Packs are available nationwide this summer until supplies run out.

The festive seasonal graphics on the outer wrap suggest SunnyD Tangy Original flavor into a must-have summer staple for everything from beach trips and boat days to fireworks and backyard barbecues. The 50-calorie, 6.75-oz. plastic bottles come in 18- and 24-count packs.

“Summer is all about creating memorable moments together, and SunnyD has long been part of those traditions,” says Randi Jachino, chief marketing officer. “With our limited-edition USA Celebration Packs, we wanted to bring an extra dose of fun, nostalgia and seasonal spirit to the occasions people look forward to most this time of year.”

Red, White & Blueberry Fruit Snacks

Welch’s Fruit Snacks Red, White & Blueberry returned this summer to celebrate the semiquincentennial. This limited-edition patriotic mix features the brand’s bestselling Berries ’n Cherries flavor. Made with real fruit, the snacks have been reformulated to be free from artificial dyes.

The celebratory 0.5-oz snack packs come in 26-count boxes and have a suggested retail price of $6. The boxes include a QR code that unlocks exclusive recipes, fun facts and shareable patriotic content. PIM Brands Inc. produces and markets the product under license; the Welch’s name and banner are registered trademarks of Welch Foods Inc.

Patriotic Produce

Fourth-generation, family-operated Mastronardi Produce is the largest vertically integrated producer and distributor of greenhouse-grown produce in North America, operating for more than 70 years.

For the country’s 250th, Sunset Flavor Bombs tomatoes are sporting red, white and blue packaging. The package puts the U.S.-grown story front and center, as the limited-time offering can only be found from June to July on Flavor Bombs sourced from Mastronardi greenhouses in Iowa, Michigan, Kentucky and New York. Flavor Bombs are marketed as snack-sized tomatoes that live up to their name with an explosion of sweet, rich, intense flavor.

“We’re proud to showcase the new Flavor Bombs packaging on the tomatoes from four influential states in the U.S.’s produce industry, and America's 250th felt like the right moment to put that on the package,” says Paul Mastronardi, president/CEO. “These are American-grown tomatoes from our U.S. greenhouses that deserve to be celebrated.”

Firecrackers for the Barbecue

Buffalo, N.Y.-based Sahlen Packing Co.’s newest product is designed to heat up summer cookouts. The limited-edition Firecracker Hot & Spicy Smokehouse Hot Dog combines Sahlen’s signature smokehouse flavor with a spicy kick aimed at consumers looking for bolder flavors during peak grilling season.

The product is available across grocery stores in Western New York and online for shipping nationwide. It was developed internally by fifth-generation family member and Executive Vice President Joseph Sahlen, who said it was created to capture the spirit of summer celebrations and America’s milestone anniversary.

“We wanted to create something fun, flavorful and memorable for this historic summer,” says Sahlen. “The response from our team during testing was immediate. People kept coming back for another bite and we knew we had a hit on our hands. It has the right balance of smokehouse flavor and heat without being overpowering.”

Chips Honor American Ideals

Family-owned Herr Foods Inc. once again puts the power in the hands and taste buds of its hometown fans with its iconic Flavored by Philly campaign. This year the competition celebrated America’s birthday with flavors to honor freedom, liberty and unity that define both Philadelphia, America’s birthplace, and the nation.

Now in its fifth year and this year called Flavored by Philly: Taste the 250, the effort starts with a competition. Nearly 100,000 votes were received from Nov. 12 to Dec. 10 of last year, with fans selecting from a lineup of flavors inspired by those ideals. There were three winners. Freedom Loaded Cheese Fries, Liberty Hickory Barbeque and United Jalapeño Cream Cheese. These limited-time-only flavors are available everywhere Herr’s is sold, in store and online.

Spirited Energy Drinks

Monster Energy kicked off this summer with bold new flavors, iconic designs and a lineup built to bring people together. Leading the charge is the all-new Juice Monster Strawberry Lemonade, a fruit-forward flavor that ignites the taste buds and is designed to fuel every backyard barbecue, beach day and fireworks-filled night. Packed in a can that screams “U.S.A! U.S.A!” the design features flag-bearing monster trucks, Lady Liberty and a jacked George Washington cruising on a throttle-heavy hog.

The company is also offering Monster Energy Ultra Red, White & Blue Razz in 12- and 16-oz. cans. Made with zero sugar, its blue raspberry flavor conjures the sensation of a cold rocket pop on a hot July Fourth day. For those going big this summer, Monster dropped a 12-can Ultra Liberty Variety Pack inspired by the colors of the Star-Spangled Banner, featuring Zero Ultra, Punk Punch and Blue Hawaiian.

Celebration Meatballs

Rosina is celebrating America’s birthday with cheeseburger-inspired Celebration Meatballs. The frozen beef- and chicken-based product features a cheese center. The fully cooked meatballs can be served in a bun, as an appetizer or shot out of a cannon. One serving is about six meatballs (85 g) and contains 230 calories, 19g of fat, 3g of carbohydrates and 13g of protein.
