Metal-detectable toolsPlastic shovels, scoops, scrapers and mixing paddles are metal-detectable. Produced with a special, FDA-approved polypropylene resin that is easily detected by standard metal detection equipment, this line ensures the quality and safety of products in controlled work environments. They’re available in four colors: deep green, dark blue, brick red, and smoke white.Remco Products; Zionsville, Ind.

Walkthrough boot scrubber
The XBW 2.0 Walkthrough Boot Scrubber combines effective scrubbing action with walkthrough efficiency. Constructed of heavy-duty stainless steel, the unit uses a series of horizontal brushes to effectively sanitize the soles and sides of most boot configurations. It’s designed for high volume facilities with a large number of employees, providing a standardized and effective boot sanitization cycle in as little as 3 seconds, with the ability to clean and disinfect 15-20 employees in one minute.

Conductivity for CIP
A diverter valve returns CIP fluid to the CIP tank or dumps it to drain. A slow response results in waste of CIP chemicals, meaning higher cost for replacement chemicals, heating of media and water treatment. But concentration of the CIP detergent can be monitored by conductivity measurement instruments. Conductivity sensor Indumax H CLS54 is an inductive conductivity sensor with hygienic design specifically for applications in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. The Smartec S CLD134 is a hygienic measuring system, transmitter included, for conductivity and concentration.

Finding CIP interface
Instead of two sensors, one to measure the high conductivity cleaning solution and the other to measure the low conductivity rinse water, Rosemount Analytical Model 410VP four-electrode clean in place (CIP) conductivity sensor does the complete conductivity measurement. The result is lower initial cost, less space taken up by sensors and analyzers, and reduced maintenance and training requirements. In addition to CIP monitoring, the sensor is used to monitor the conductivity of eluents in chromatographic separations and to detect liquid interfaces.

Compact HEPA cleaner
The BPV-100H, a backpack-style vacuum, cleans spots a conventional vacuum can’t fit into. Fine particles are filtered down to 0.3 microns, so only “safe” air is allowed back into your processing plant. An integrated tool belt holds all of the unit’s attachments. Its 1.2 hp motor runs on 115 VAC. It has a large HEPA filter, a 2.5-gal. paper filter collection bag and weighs just 15 lbs.

Chillingly clean
Dry ice blast cleaning systems are safe, clean and environmentally friendly. A non-abrasive process that reduces cleaning time does not produce secondary waste and can clean hot components and machines while still online. Dry ice blasting can easily remove protein residue and blast allergen contamination without damaging any circuitry or bearings.
