Robotics Powered Down for U.S. Manufacturers in 2019

The Association for Advancing Automation is reporting U.S. factories and warehouses installed fewer robots in 2019 than they have in several years.
Despite more companies shifting to automation and robotics to help their labor and efficiency concerns, U.S. companies installed fewer robots in 2019 than they did in 2018, 2017, and 2016. That's according to the Association for Advancing Automation.
Reuters is reporting that robotics shipments fell to 23,758, a more than 16% drop.
According to Alexander Shikany, vice president of the Association for Advancing Automation, 'the slowdown is likely to be short lived.'
