Ball Corp. Investing Nearly $290 Million to Build New Las Vegas Facility

Sept. 27, 2021
The multi-line beverage can plant is scheduled to begin production in late 2022 and expects to create 180 local jobs.

Ball Corp. announced last week that it was investing nearly $290 million to build a new facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada. The Colorado-based company expects to create 180 jobs in the Las Vegas area as it opens the multi-line aluminum beverage packaging plant. Production is anticipated to begin in late 2022.

According to the company, the plant will provide a large range of can sizes to its beverage customers and says it chose the North Las Vegas location due to its proximity to customer customers.

"Our new North Las Vegas plant is Ball's latest investment to serve accelerating demand for our portfolio of infinitely recyclable aluminum containers," said Kathleen Pitre, president, Ball beverage packaging North & Central America.
