Campbell’s Finishes New Goldfish Production Line in Richmond, Utah, Bakery

Sept. 25, 2024
The $160 million investment, along with a new adjacent flour mill, is expected to add significant efficiencies and output capacities over the next several years.

More Goldfish crackers are on the way to market, after Campbell officially christened the newest expansion of its Richmond, Utah, bakery — adding a $160 million, new production line to the facility to produce more of the iconic Goldfish crackers to meet demand.

The project was announced last July, at which point it was said that the new line would increase the bakery’s Goldfish output by 50 percent — producing more than 5 million Goldfish per hour, or 1,500 Goldfish every second.

Campbell’s also announced that Utah Flour Milling LLC was still building a flour mill adjacent and connected to the Richmond bakery, that will increase supply reliability, provide future capacity, improve efficiency and also reduce the plant’s carbon footprint.

The overall investment will create more than 85 jobs over three years, according to a local news report. Campbell’s also has operations in Logan, Utah, and employs more than 450 people in the region, that news report stated.
