Apple Valley Foods US will shut down its Chaska, Minn., pie processing facility, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice cited by several local news outlets.

Closure of the Chaska facility is anticipated to begin on July 11, 2025, and it would result in approximately 95 employees losing their jobs. The company is a sister company to Canada’s Apple Valley Foods and a subsidiary of Harlan Foods.

The Apple Valley web site says the company has facilities across North America, and that both Apple Valley Foods Canada and Harlan Foods have won a record number of blue ribbons at the American Pie Council’s National Championship, and that many of the pie crusts for those pies were made by Apple Valley Foods US.
