Newly Weds Foods' Announces Death of Charles T. Angell

Charles T. Angell, 81, had been the owner and former President of the ingredients company, which was founded in 1932.
Charles T. Angell, the owner and former President of ingredient manufacturer Newly Weds Foods has died. The Chicago-based company announced on its website and social media channels that the 81-year old had died on December 16.
Angell joined the company in 1965, a company which had been founded by his father, Paul M. Angell, in 1932. In 1974, the junior Angell took over the role of President from his father.
Charles T. Angell had been with the company 57 years, during which time he expanded the company to include 29 plants.
The company announced earlier this year that Charles relinquished day-to-day operations of the business in June, with Brian Johnson taking over as President and CEO.
