The man who led Keurig Dr Pepper through the changes that formed its current identity is stepping down at the end of July, to be succeeded by the company’s CFO.
Bob Gamgort, who has been CEO of Keurig Dr Pepper since 2016, will relinquish that role as of July 29. He will be replaced by Ozan Dokmecioglu, CFO and president of the company’s international division.
Gamgort led Keurig Dr Pepper through going private in 2016 and through Keurig Green Mountain’s merger with Dr Pepper Snapple, which sent it back to publicly traded status.
Gamgort will remain as executive chairman of Keurig Dr Pepper for two years, while Dokmecioglu will join the board of directors.
"I am excited to partner with Ozan, our leadership team and the KDP Board of Directors to drive continued growth and value creation,” Gamgort said in a statement. “As we move into the next chapter for our modern beverage company, we're establishing a leadership team that can guide the success of KDP well into the future."
