Both companies use high-pressure processing to pasteurize their novel juices.

Caribé Juice, a maker of cold-pressed Caribbean fruit and vegetable-based juices, in September acquired WTRMLN WTR, maker of cold-pressed watermelon juice sourced from "ugly fruit," typically discarded by the food supply chain.

Both companies use high-pressure processing to "pasteurize" their juices. WTRMLN WTR was founded in 2013 to upcycle wasted watermelons, and it's since attracted celebrity investors Beyonce Knowles Carter, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Michael Strahan, Tony Robbins and more.

Caribé Juice supports small, local farmers in developing communities.
