Splash Beverage Group Intends to Expand Portfolio by Adding Western Son Vodka

Definitive agreement not yet reached, but the beverage brand owner has executed a letter of intent to acquire JEM Beverage Management Co., owners of the Texas-based vodka brand.

Splash Beverage Group Inc. has executed a letter of intent to acquire JEM Beverage Management Co. LLC, which owns the Western Son Vodka brand. Terms have not been disclosed as a definitive agreement had not yet been reached.

Pilot Point, Texas-based Western Son Vodka was founded in 2011 and sold approximately 309,000 9-liter cases of vodka in the last 12 months, according to a release from Splash Beverage announcing the letter of intent. Its production and distribution complex spans more than 150,000 square feet, and the brand has won numerous awards in the industry.

The two companies have been in discussions since 2022, Splash Beverage said in the release, and the acquisition would be the largest for the company to date if a definitive agreement is reached and the deal completed.

Splash Beverage Group owns a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic brands, including Copa di Vino wines by the glass, Salt flavored tequilas, Pulpoloco sangrias and Tapout performance hydration and recovery drinks.
