Fort Pierce, Fla.-based Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Co. has been acquired by Newport Beach, Calif.-based Perricone Farms, a premium craft juice company. The move creates a combined company that “will be able to take advantage of bi-coastal production facilities, improve its delivery capabilities, expand product offerings, and leverage its additional scale,” according to a release from Perricone Farms.
The merger is expected to strengthen both brands and enhance customer service and quality coast-to-coast.
“This exciting merger offers new opportunities for growth and expansion, including entrance into new markets, developing innovative products, and strengthening relationships with customers, suppliers, vendors, and partners,” said Bob Rovzar, CEO of Perricone Farms. “Together, Perricone Farms and Natalie’s are now better equipped to ensure the continued success and growth of both brands.”
The company will serve customers in both retail and foodservice channels. Natalie’s CEO Marygrace Sexton, who founded the company and named it after her daughter more than 35 years ago, said the company was built to last, and the team was excited for the future opportunities the deal will bring.
Perricone Farms was founded in 1994 by one of the largest citrus growers in the U.S., Sam Perricone, along with his oldest son, Joe. Today, the company manufactures conventional and organic orange, grapefruit, lemon, lime, tangerine and apple juices, as well as essential citrus oils, from facilities in Beaumont, Calif., and Vero Beach, Fla.
