German brewer Paulaner has appointed Andy Glaser to serve as chief executive officer of Paulaner USA, effective Jan. 1, 2025. Glaser will take the reins of the company from Steve Hauser, who is leaving the company after 10 years, according to a release.
Glaser is expected to focus on adapting the Paulaner brand within the U.S. marketplace and drive continued growth. He brings extensive beverage industry experience, having previously held leadership roles at Hennessy, Bass Ale and Champagne Henriot. He was vice president of marketing at Heineken USA from 2003 to 2008, at which time, Paulaner was a part of that company’s brand portfolio.
“Under the leadership of Andy Glaser, we are ushering in a new era for Paulaner USA and, together with the local team, will take the brand to the next level; laying the foundation for further growth in the coming decades,” Paulaner CEO Jörg Biebernick said in the release.
Paulaner USA imports Paulaner, Hacker-Pschorr, Tsingtao and Fuller’s to the U.S. market and is headquartered in White Plains, N.Y. The company ranks among the oldest breweries in Munich, having been founded in 1634. It began importing beer to the U.S. in 1987, the company noted.
