Yerbaé Plant-Based Energy Drink Company Acquired by Wellness Company Safety Shot Inc.
Plant-based energy beverage company Yerbaé Brands Corp. will be acquired by Safety Shot Inc., a wellness and dietary supplement company, according to a release. The acquisition looks to combine complementary brands and products, looking to capitalize on cost synergies and supply chain efficiencies to drive growth for both brands.
Yerbaé was founded in 2017 and had approximately $12 million in revenue (against $5.9 million in cost of sales) for the fiscal year ending 2023. According to the announcement, Yerbaé’s beverages aim to provide “a more refreshing taste than coffee, with added benefits compared to existing sodas and sparkling waters, and healthier ingredients than traditional energy drinks.”
Safety Shot looks to leverage Yerbaé’s distribution and customer relationships across multiple regions to benefit its product lines and drive greater visibility and availability for the products. The company has had a notably successful year, the release noted, with major new distribution deals across the U.S., a rebranding of the flagship product to “Sure Shot,” clinical trials confirming the reduction of blood-alcohol content of study participants who consumed the product and new product format launches.
Management teams for the two brands will be combined, with Safety Shot’s management team leading the overall company and Yerbaé’s management team taking on secondary management roles, the announcement noted.
