Mars Petcare hired Ikdeep Singh as Regional President role for Mars Pet Nutrition North America, a division of Mars Petcare. He will join the company on Aug. 31, but not assume full responsibility for the role until January 2021.
Singh will replace Mark Johnson, who has led Mars Pet Nutrition North America for the past six years. Johnson made a personal decision to step down from his current role and will move into another opportunity within the business, which will be announced at a later date. So he will continue to lead the business through the end of the year, while supporting Singh's onboarding.
Singh has more than two decades of global experience in the consumer goods industry, most recently as president of L'Oréal Group, and earlier spent 14 years at Procter and Gamble. Mars doubled the size of its pet food business in 2014 when it bought most of Procter & Gamble's pet food brands.
