Hill's Pet Nutrition announced on Wednesday it would be relocating its global and U.S. headquarters from Topeka to Overland Park, KS, citing a desire to create a 'new hub' in the Greater Kansas City area. The move is expected to take place in Q4 of this year.
The pet food company plans to continue investing in its Topeka manufacturing hubs, including its R&D campus in North Topeka -- home to the Small Paws Innovation center that opened in 2021. The company says it plans to keep its Topeka and Emporia manufacturing sites open as well as it Tonganoxie site, which is expected to open this year.
"We will continue investing in our science, innovation and manufacturing hubs in Topeka - while expanding our footprint with the creation of a new hub for our Global and U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area," said John Hazlin, President and CEO of Hill's Pet Nutrition.
