General Mills’ North America Retail Exec Promoted to Run North America Pet Business

May 20, 2025
Dana McNabb will become General Mills’ group president over both business segments effective June 1, 2025.

Effective June 1, 2025, Dana McNabb will add oversight of General Mills Inc.’s North America Pet group to her responsibilities, as she will be promoted to group president, North American Retail (NAR) and North America Pet, according to an announcement posted by the company.

McNabb will continue to run NAR, the company’s largest business segment, and Liz Mascolo, segment president, North America Pet, will report to her upon this change taking effect.

Jeff Harmening, chairman and CEO, General Mills, said McNabb’s strong leadership, and proven general manager and brand building capabilities led to her gaining oversight of the company’s entry into the growing pet food category.

“Dana brings a strategic rigor to all that she does and I’m confident that she will grow the Pet segment through remarkable consumer experiences and bring new innovations to the market as well,” he said in the release.

McNabb has been group president, NAR, since 2023, and had served as chief strategy and growth officer for the company for two years prior to that. She has also spent time as group president, Europe & Australia, and president of the company’s U.S. Cereal operating unit.
