Beyond Steak is certified by the American Heart Association’s Heart-Check Food Certification Program, according to a release from parent company Beyond Meat Inc.
In addition, Beyond Steak is currently the only product categorized under “Meat Substitutes” to make the list of products that meet the American Heart Association’s nutrition requirements — being low in saturated and trans fats, cholesterol and sodium, and having more than 10% of the daily value of essential nutrients.
Beyond Steak checks in with 21 grams of protein and 170 calories per serving, and is also low in saturated fat (1g per serving) with no cholesterol. The Heart-Check Mark is part of the American Heart Association’s mission to fight heart disease and stroke in the U.S.
