Plant-Based Company Misha’s Acquires Vertage, Access to Fresh Del Monte Produce Logistics Network

Jan. 16, 2025
Plant-based company believes access to logistics network, production capabilities of Fresh Del Monte will accelerate its distribution and new product development.

Plant-based foods company Misha’s Inc. has acquired Vertage, a dairy-free cheese company. According to a release from Misha’s, the acquisition will allow it to leverage a Vertage partnership with Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. to access the produce company’s logistics network and capabilities, including production facilities and technology. Fresh Del Monte’s inland logistics arm, Tricont Trucking and Logistics, manages that part of the business.

Misha’s will be able to expand to new regions and accelerate its new product efforts with the partnership as well. Misha’s adds Vertage’s shredded and sliced cheeses to its product line through the deal. Misha’s, which was founded in 2018, is sold in more than 1,100 U.S. retailers in the northwest, west, southwest and central regions of the country.

Tim Wildin, CEO of Vertage, will transition to CMO at Misha’s.
