The Jensen Meat Co. Inc. has integrated its 2019 acquisition, Before the Butcher, into its plant-based division — a change that marries the Before the Butcher business with the company’s Cool Beans business and its plant-based co-manufacturing capabilities, all under the same umbrella.

Before the Butcher offers products such as plant-based burgers and meatless ground product, while Cool Beans produces plant-based wraps. The company’s plant-based portfolio will benefit from the combination of the businesses under one roof.

After Jensen acquired it in 2019, Before the Butcher operated as an independent company under Jensen’s ownership, and the company believes that folding it into the Jensen business will position it for plant-based growth through innovation and scale.
