Cargill Upgrades Canola Seed Facility in Idaho Falls

Aug. 24, 2009

Cargill has completed a move to a new canola seed facility on the south side of Idaho Falls. The move almost doubled the amount of space and upgraded equipment to improve product quality and enlist new modern safety features.

Producing Victory Hybrid Canola seed in and around Idaho Falls, allows Cargill to maintain the high oleic traits that are important for our oil customers.

This upgrade completes several upgrades to Cargill’s high oleic canola program to match its capacity with the demand for healthier oils. In the past two years, Cargill has expanded its Innovation Center in Fort Collins, constructed a new breeding center in Aberdeen, Saskatchewan and doubled the size of its crush plant in Clavet, Saskatchewan to meet the demand for high oleic canola oil.
