Rise Baking Co. will relocate its Tucker, Ga., Innovation Center to Uptown Atlanta, a neighborhood located in the city between Midtown and Buckhead, according to a release from the company. The baker said the move is an investment in how its teams work, collaborate and serve customers, as well as a reflection of its growth.

The new Commercial and Customer Center of Excellence will feature more than 30,000 sq. ft. of combined office and R&D space, which represents an expansion of that space from the Tucker operation. Rise’s Atlanta-based shared services teams — R&D, customer service, commercialization, operations, procurement and payroll — will now work in that single Uptown Atlanta location. Rise expects to execute the move later this year.

Rise Baking’s Innovation Center had been in Tucker for more than 20 years, but as the lease on the facility was up at the end of the year, the company decided to move the operation to 575 Main Street NE in Atlanta. The company noted it will continue to operate the manufacturing facilities in Tucker and Douglasville.
