CK Snacks Changes Hands from One Investment Firm to Another

Nexus Capital Management acquires Cheeze Kurls Inc. (CK Snacks) from Kilroy Partners, looking to grow the private label and co-man snack foods processor.

Nexus Capital Management has completed the acquisition of Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Cheeze Kurls LLC (CK Snacks), according to a release.

CK Snacks produces extruded, fried and baked products, popcorn and party mixes for private label customers across retail, grocery and drugstore channels. It also co-manufactures products for other snack food processors.

CK Snacks CEO Jamie Colbourne and the management team are expected to continue to guide the company through the next phase of growth and expansion. Colbourne has been an operating advisor to Nexus for many years, the release noted.

CK Snacks was founded in 1964 in Grand Rapids. Nexus is acquiring the company from Kilroy Partners, which originally acquired CK Snacks in 2020.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed in the announcement.
