Jan. 23, 2025
CPG veteran Kevin Rutherford expected to lead better-for-you snacks brand through next growth phase.

Tosi, an organic, gluten-free and vegan snacks brand, has appointed Kevin Rutherford to be its chief executive officer, according to a release from the company. Rutherford is expected to use his experience as a leader in the consumer-packaged goods space to drive the next phase of growth for the brand.

Rutherford’s background includes extensive experience at SC Johnson, Miller Brewing Co., Kashi and Nuun Hydration.

“Tosi” translates to “true” in Finnish, and the company was founded in 2012 by mother/daughter duo Stefanie Hults and Chelsea (Hults) Gray. It reports a 300% increase in sales over the past few years as consumers have sought out less processed, clean-label foods. Co-founders Hults and Gray will remain on board in what the release called “critical roles,” as the company transitions to a refined leadership structure. Tosi also has recently been able to raise about $15.8 million in capital during a recent Series B funding round.
