Molson Coors' brewery operations were down after it experienced a systems outage caused by a cybersecurity incident. That's according to a Form-8K filed with the SEC on March 11. According to the filing, the company is managing the cybersecurity incident; however, it has caused a delay and disruption to its brewery operations, production, and shipments.

Molson Coors is responsible for a large portfolio of brands including Coors and Miller brands, as well as Molson Canadian, Blue Moon, Peroni, Grolsch, Killian's, and Foster's.

"We have engaged a leading forensic IT firm to assist our investigation into the incident," said chief communications and corporate affairs officer Adam Collins. "We will continue to communicate with our business partners with updates."

In an article on ZDNet, Niamh Muldoon, global data protection officer with OneLogin, said these attacks illustrate how cyber criminals are targeting high profile organizations to interrupt key business operations and manufacturing.
