Deli prepared foods processor Mama’s Creations Inc. announces that Moore “Skip” Tappan will be its new chief operating officer. Tappan’s presence is expected to further build the processes of the company and its sustainable operations culture.
Tappan joins Mama’s Creations with more than three decades of cross-functional operations experience and is being touted as a leader with exceptional end-to-end supply chain mastery based on his experience with companies such as Procter & Gamble, Walmart and Campbell Soup. He most recently was chief supply chain officer for Gordon Food Service, where he implemented strategies to plan for the “Supply Chain of the Future,” the announcement noted.
He has held roles as vice president, Supply Chain Northeast Division for Walmart and vice president, North American Logistics for Campbell Soup Co. His career started with P&G, where he eventually led the North American distribution network for the company’s Beauty Care and Health Care categories.
The appointment of Tappan closes out a transformational period for Mama’s Creations, said Adam L. Michaels, chairman and CEO of the company: “With Skip’s guidance and key capex projects fully installed and in operation today, our operational & people transformation is now largely complete.”
