Decas Cranberry Products, Inc. (DCP) has introduced USDA National Organic Program (NOP)-certified and EU-certified Organic Fruit Juice Sweetened Dried Cranberries to its product line. This ingredient is for food products targeting consumers who want an organic cranberry product without added sugar.
Paradise Meadow Certified Organic Fruit Juice-Sweetened Dried Cranberries are prepared by gently infusing certified organic apple juice concentrate into sliced, certified organic cranberries. The product is then carefully dried to preserve color and flavor, and lightly sprayed with certified organic oil. The process conforms to all provisions of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and according to the certification guidelines established by Stellar Certification Services, Inc. No preservatives, flavorings or colorings are added.
Certified organic fruit juice sweetened dried cranberries are the latest addition to the Decas line of certified organic cranberry-based specialty ingredients, which includes organic sweetened dried cranberries, organic cranberry concentrate and organic cranberry powder. Applications for the new premium product include, but are not limited to, healthy snacks, cereals, yogurt, muffins, salads, cookies, pancakes, breads and desserts.
Certified Organic Statement
Since October 2002, all agricultural products labeled "organic" must be in compliance with USDA NOP regulations. The word "organic" on US products means that the ingredients and production methods have been verified by an accredited certification agency as meeting or exceeding USDA NOP and European Union (EU) standards for organic production.
Decas organic products have been certified by Stellar Certification Services, Inc., which is accredited by the USDA NOP and administered from the same office as the voluntary certification programs of Demeter Certified Biodynamic and Aurora Certified Organic.
