Bronze control valve enables fluid combining

Spirax Sarco released the new B-Series Bronze Control Valve that is designed for use with steam, water, gases and other liquids for services at a maximum temperature of 204°C (400°F) and a maximum pressure of 27 barg (400 psig).

Typical applications include industrial HVAC, food and beverage, textiles, automotive and institutional industries. The lightweight, rugged B-Series is available in a two-way and three-way configuration. The two-way valve plug/stem may be replaced without removing the valve or actuator, while the three-way is ideal where it is necessary to combine two fluids or divert a single fluid for temperature control. Both configurations can easily be converted between the two-way and three-way by simply changing the plug/stem assembly and body plug. The rangeability is 50:1.

The B-Series is available in 1⁄2-in. to 2-in. body sizes, with long-life stem seals and one-piece plug/stem design and non-threaded seat for reliable shut-off. Construction consists of a cast bronze body, a nitrile-reinforced rubber diaphragm and 300-series stainless steel head, stem and seat. The two-way valve is available in equal percentage, linear and soft-seated valving options, while the three-way is available with linear characteristic trim.
