The first-ever national brand of Greek Style Sour Cream combines the texture and taste of traditional Breakstone's Sour Cream with authentic Greek strained yogurt.

Known for dairy products made with fresh, wholesome ingredients, Breakstone's introduces the first-ever national brand of Greek Style Sour Cream.

Manufactured by Kraft Foods Group, Northfield, Ill., the product combines the smooth, creamy texture and rich taste of traditional Breakstone's Sour Cream (whole milk) with authentic Greek strained yogurt. This Greek-style product provides consumers with a better-for-you option featuring 50% less fat, 40% less cholesterol and twice the calcium and protein of regular sour cream.

This new cultured dairy product has a very simple ingredient statement that reads: Sour Cream (Cultured Pasteurized Grade A Cream [from Milk], Enzymes), Nonfat Yogurt (Cultured Pasteurized Nonfat Milk).

"We are always looking to develop new foods that meet a variety of consumers' needs and nowadays consumers are seeking better-for-you alternatives," says Shannon Lester, brand manager. "Some consumers are already substituting Greek yogurt for sour cream, but sacrificing the creamy texture and delicious taste of traditional sour cream."

The product comes in 16-oz. containers and has a suggested retail price of $2.99.
